BACK TO SCHOOL!

This week we are still learning about paragraphs, but this time its about narration. It’s different as we use time order to organise the sentences. I heard it from my classmates as I wasn’t in school for roughly all the lessons? I had superb experience learning everything I had to know about diarrhoea and how to cure it for 5days.

‘To infinity and beyond’  – Buzz Lightyear

This week there was only two lessons of Advanced English as we were attached to various hotels for the Interpol event and classes were canceled. And I’m dispatched to Swissotel The Stamford.

What we learnt in the two lessons were how to write a paragraph. First by writing the topic sentence, next are the supporting points and details and lastly concluding sentence. After doing all these we could start writing our paragraph out. By writing out the topic sentence, supporting points, supporting details and concluding sentence, it helps writing the paragraph easier as all the points were in there and those points were what I would include in the paragraph.

That’s what we learnt for AEL.

‘Hakuna Matata’ – Timon & Pumba

As we roamed around the school(and outside the school), we couldn’t help but think whether was this really about what we are about to learn for the current term. Is treasure-hunting really advanced english?! Who knows we might just do this for the rest of the lessons that we are going to have with our mentor MrGuna. This is how students think, no doubts.

During the other lessons, MrGuna taught us about the topic sentences in paragraphs and supporting sentences. We were also given a article and told to spot the topic and controlling ideas of it.

Overall, Advanced English was not that boring.

I can’t remember the rest or it could be that I’m engaging myself in some self-relaxing activities. If you know what i mean.
